Rogers & Goffigon is excited to introduce jacks, with an intentional lower case “j”, a unique woven design in linen and wool, ideal for upholstery.
jack Viburnum, is available in one lovely colour way: a prominent creamy white, thick yarn and a thin natural grey linen yarn.
This very dimensional jacquard weave is comprised of two layers.
The top layer is a bulky single ply wool roving yarn, woven in a double basket weave pattern. This grid-like design is held in place by an under layer of a thin linen yarn network that secures the grid with a single yarn stitch at the intersections of the roving yarn.
It’s woven tightly but not so tight that jacks doesn’t loose its nice supple hand. The name for this super special fabric comes from the retro game, jacks, with the design evocative of the jack, the multi sided playing piece.
