I’m pleased to introduce a new Rogers & Goffigon’s upholstery weight fabric, Debitage, available in four earthy colorways.
This densely woven fabric has an exceptionally supple, soft hand, obtained by stone washing the heavy linen, making Debitage ideal for cozy upholstery, but it can also be used on walls and various accessories. The word debitage derives from a stone carving term describing the small pieces of stone debris that break off during the creation of stone tools.
The resulting pile of shards, or debitage, forms a patterning similar to the pattern woven into this attractive fabric, thus inspiring the name.
